The folk of Aldeburgh are much exorcised about this beautiful scallop by Maggie Hambling, perhaps is it just those pesky children being noisy and climbing all over it (& I know the smiley faces look weird, but I can't do pixels). I think this is the perfect way to do sculpture; touching, using, playing.
I'm off to find out what those folk are made off, if I can tell by just being in an audience
with them, and sharing their space! Meantime I leave you with the haunting words.
